Styled photo shoots are one of my favorite things to blog about. I love getting together with talented local vendors and bringing our creative ideas into one space. I’ve been super busy this past month and felt somewhat disorganized coming into this shoot, but we all put our creative minds together and the results were magical. A few of us brought our girls to be our little models, and despite somewhat crazy winds we had a wonderful afternoon.
A HUGE shout out to the amazing and crazy-talented vendors I had the pleasure of working with:
Ever Red Fresh Designs: Have you ever seen flower crowns as amazing as these? Nicole of Ever Red Fresh Designs created these gorgeous crowns for the girls to wear, and they were just stunning. My girls were wearing theirs still days later!
Kayla’s Sweet Tooth: Mikaela’s cakes are truly edible pieces of art. Her drip cake was just perfect for this shoot and was seriously delicious!
Krystle Images: Krystle is not only my favorite photographer but a good friend as well. She has such an eye for great shots, and captures the moment perfectly every time.
Little Tea Party Crew Rental: Melissa was so much fun to plan this with. She curates what I can only describe as an insanely huge collection of vintage tea ware, and it’s all just gorgeous and lovingly cared for. She has an innate ability to chose the perfect pieces from her collection for whatever style and color scheme you’ve got going on.
Stephanie Smallsen: Stephanie is a food stylist extrordonaire. She focuses on local sustainable foods, and whips them into some serious food porn.
I hope you enjoy looking at these beautiful photos and if you’re planning your own tea party you can find some inspiration.
This tablescape was so fun to design. Melissa had a gorgeous lace table runner which I used instead of a full tablecloth so we could add the rustic element from the weathered wooden outdoor table. We made a eucalyptus garland to add some depth and texture. The great thing about ‘boho chic’? Nothing needs to look perfect! Any centerpieces can be totally organic and free-flowing. This is meant to be totally relaxed, a bit of a juxtaposition from a high tea; contrasting but totally complimenting.
I just love the tea cart Melissa brought. The vintage style combined with the florals and the stunning drip cake were just absolute perfection.
This gorgeous cake looked almost too good to eat. Almost.
I love these vintage tea cups and saucers!
Stephanie made such beautiful and delicious small bites:
The girls looked just adorable in their flower crowns from Ever Red Fresh Designs. Bohemian Princesses.
I seriously can’t get enough of these photos! It was all so sweet and beautiful…
The girls couldn’t wait for a bite of cake! Can you blame them??
Do you think they had fun? I’m betting by those smiles they did!
